I have a FA20DIT that I have begun tuning for speed density. Everything is working correctly above 1200 RPM. Below 1200 the engine stutters on tip in. Being DI there is no transient enrichment.

Any ideas on how to sort this out?

First of all, what software are you using to tune with? Having dealt with the FA20 in the Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ extensively using the Ecutek package, I use the hybrid system which utilises the MAF at low load/rpm and then transitions to Sd only when you actually need to (i.e when you're getting close to exceeding the MAF flow limit). I'm unsure if that's an option for you?

Hi Andre, I'm using Ecutek as well. I am currently using the transition from maf to SD function based on rpm. The reason I'm asking is that I would like to ultimately remove the maf.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
