What is the difference with a dyno tune and a street tune? Do they achieve the same results?
The dyno tune is done using a dynomometer (a device that can measure the torque and horsepower output), so the turning can be sure to find the best values. Street Tuning is just driving the car on the road and making changes to what the "seat of the pants dyno" indicates is the best. Sometimes folks use a smart-phone app to work on full throttle (or wide open throttle - WOT) tuning.
The dyno is the proper tool, it is the fastest and most accurate way for most engine mapping (another word for tuning often used with stand-alone ECUs).
