I would like to install e fans on my 2000 chevy silverado 1500 5.3 which did not come equipped with.

The simplest way to achieve this is to run the fans through a relay (or two, depending on fan size), triggered by a thermal switch.

Thermal switches are available in a range of temperature ratings, thread types, and contact configurations. I’d recommend using a dual-contact switch rather than a single. You can earth one side of the switch and use it to trigger the relay coil (pin 85), with ignition power supplied to pin 86.

A step up from this would be using a digital thermo fan controller, like a Davies Craig unit or a SAAS digital fan controller, which gives you more control over activation temperature and fan behavior.
