Tuning conservately for a breaking period for a freshly build engine, would i need to tune with less timing?
regards
Yes, retarding the ignition timing means there is less chance of detonation occurring. This is a reasonably sound way of addressing the run-in period for a freshly built engine. Excessively retarded timing will however increase exhaust gas temperature so don't get too carried away.
