I've got a cammed LS2 with which I had re-tuned after an exhaust and header change 1. because the engine check light was activating which Ive read is common practice on these after an upgrade and 2. I wanted an optimised tune for the new VE...the car drives well, the only gripe I have is on cold start up and driving the first few minutes it wants to stall when off throttle coming to a stop and sometimes does and is more inclined to want to bunny hop more so than when up to temp, in one of the courses you touched on adding some more fuel on cold start to take some torque away from the lumpiness of the cam to make it a little bit more civil, would this stop it from wanting to stall or is it just one of those things you have to put up with running a large cam? I had the diff ratio changed to offset the "make me look amateur in carparks and take offs" which took some off the edge off and brings the range of the cam in quicker but the cold start manners are still a little piggish, If I can tidy it up great, if not its no biggie.

I've tuned a lot of heavily cammed LS engines using the stock computer and often it's the throttle control that is the issue with stalling when cold. If you're running an LS2 I'll assume you have a drive by wire throttle. By default there is a limit table which defines the maximum opening that can be used by the throttle during idle speed control. This usually isn't sufficient for a decent cam and can result in stalling. Increasing the limit will avoid this. Alternatively many people drill a hole through the throttle butterfly to achieve the same aim - If you can do it in software it's much neater though. The idle airflow tables also need to be increased which has the effect of targeting additional airflow at idle.

I'd be guessing from my own experience that your issues are somewhere in these tables rather than actual enrichment. Of course watching the AFR during cold start will also let you know if you're on the right track.

Sweet, yes fly by wire your right, and also what software would you recommend for the factory ECU?

I've only ever used HP Tuners, and for the most part found it excellent. EFI Live is your other option which by all accounts is also very good.
