Hi guys,

I have a MaxxECU Race and I don’t have any spare low-side (GND) outputs available for my boost/CO2 setup.

Can I drive MAC 3-port solenoids (12V coils) using the ECU’s GP outputs that are “+12V driving” (high-side outputs) instead of GND/PWM outputs?

Also, should I add an inline fuse for each solenoid (e.g., 1.5A–2A per MAC), or is it enough if the GP output supply line is already fused?

Thanks!

You can, they max out at ~4a, for something as 'robust' as a simple MAC valve I'd fuse to the wire size (which is the general rule anyway but if I'm running a larger than needed lead I'll fuse to the component if its fragile)

Thanks David!! Have a nice day!!
