So i'm running this project 1jz on a maxxecu mini with a wasted spark setup and a 2jzvvti 36 tooth trigger and i can't seem to get any spark on cranking.

whenever i test the output of the ignition coils everything seems to be fine and each 2 coils fire together (1&6 - 2&5 - 3&4)

I've got the engine configured as a 6cylinder with the correct 1jz firing order (1-5-3-6-2-4) , Manual TDC angles(0-120-240-0-120-240)

My ignition on wasted spark with dual bank control disabled and all the correct characteristic's of my coils in

Stock trigger so VR Zero crossing with a falling edge and i got the arming voltage below peak monitored with the oscilloscope

Missing tooth trigger,2JZvvt 3-teeth , cam signal before tdc of cyl 1 with 36 -2 teeth count and the unsynchronized start enabled in wasted spark and running with no cam sensor.

What could i be doing wrong as I just can't wrap my head around wasted spark + missing the home signal.

I'd suspect the default config is still looking for a 2jz cam or home signal even though you're asking it to start in waste spark.

Do a capture and you can probably call it a generic multitooth for waste spark on a single sensor.

turns out it was still expecting a home signal because of my settings in the trigger decoder and switching that out the way immediately got it fired up
