rotary engine stated size and actual volume of air it can move ? i am under the impression that you need to double the engine volume to get the proper ve ? for a 12a rotary engine 1200cc's i use 2400cc's

This sounds like someone asking for information on using a Sniper EFI system. If so, then yes the hackey way to do it is to double the engine size based on the baked in VE tables designed around an old V8 application.

A rotary typically requires ~30% - ~40% more air volume to produce the same power as compared to modern engines from my experience. Efficiency in size and weight rotaries are, in use of processed air vs fuel, they are not.
