Hi,
You said in this module that I need to find the MBT for every cell in Ignition Map:
1- Do I need to do this for every cell individual or select for example low RPM cells all together and having them set to the same MBT?
2- We can find MBT in low and mid RPM, but what about high RPM in forced induction application?. do we need to find MBT on 8000rpm and 30psi of boost?, and how to to figure out the correct ignition timing if MBT not applicable?
Thank you.
Generally we will find MBT in each cell in the cruise areas of the map that we spend the most time in. When we transition to full throttle/full boost and high rpm, we tune the ignition cells using ramp runs on the dyno rather than in steady state. This is all demonstrated in our Practical Standalone Tuning course if you want to see the entire tuning process.
Thank you Andre. Will check it out.
