Hello after the lesson of volumetric efficiency, I was wondering, when tuning my car (2l Subaru) would I have to manually calculate the theoretical air flow through out my rev range?

Hello Clayton,

Generally not for every cell but peak torque and peak power for starters will make sure the fuel system is sized correctly. I’d always suggest that if you have to do the maths do it once in a spreadsheet then all you have to do is plug the numbers in. You could create a theoretical volumetric airflow map in excel with one formula and use the interpolation function to populate lower load areas for example.
