Hey Everyone; I'm playing around with tuning topics and I've gathered some VE data and I'm not sure what it means if anything. In the 2 pictures attached I saw that the VE started out high and then dropped real low, nothing else happened though. Engine is a 306W Ford with Holley Sniper 1 fuel injection. Any ideas?
Here's the pics! (I think)
I think that is just the Snipers way of representing how much fuel they injected relative to the air mass the engine was using (calculated from the sensors).
After initial start, they have some post-start extra fueling, the ends up representing as though the engine had a higher volumetric effeciency. I think that estimated VE is only useful when the engine is a operating temperature and operating steady-state (not accelerating or decellerating), and should be ignored otherwise.
