What are people using for bench testing looms and ecu setups?

iv been looking at a 10-30v power unit on amazon for powering up ecu’s on the bench for testing of loom & hardware before install.

I like those power supplies that have adjustable voltage and current limiting with digital displays. You can set it to a low limit when first powering a new loom to make sure some fatal short won't take out the wiring.

I can't find the one I bought 15 years ago, but it's similar to this:

Thanks for your reply

that’s very similar to the one iv been looking at.

would also be handy for testing amp draw on accessories

A small suggestion I will add - Avoid the ones that only have the +ve/-ve connection posts, these will usually have the -ve post tied to mains ground. Look for one that also has the separate ground post as the negative is usually isolated in that case.

With a non isolated negative you can easily damage things with scenarios like a USB powered oscilloscope or logic analyser connected to an ECU output.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
