I am struggling to find a PN or web source to buy some ECM crimp contacts for use with a GM ECM from a 2007 Chevy Cobalt. I've searched here (apparently I suck at it) and found nothing. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have an E37 ECM. It has the two 72 pin connectors (one black, one grey)

Thanks in advance.

Jay

Hey Jay,

The E37 ECM looks to have the same connectors as the E38 ECM which has more available as far as searching for connectors and pins. Definitely double check but if you google 73 pin E38 connector you should find some results.

If you only need terminals, grab the part number information for the connector kits and search places like Mouser.

That worked perfect. Using that first link I used the terminal PNs to find them elsewhere. Much appreciated.

Being new to wiring, I'm still learning how to find things like that. This definitely helped me for the future. Thanks again.

Great to hear John, glad I could help.

Finding OEM connectors and terminals can be a pretty frustrating exercise sometimes. There is actually a webinar in the archive that covers tracking down difficult-to-find connectors and terminals. Funnily enough, the connector I chose as the example for that webinar ended up being even harder to identify than I was expecting.

The more you do it, the easier it gets. Once you learn a few tricks for tracking down part numbers and identifying connector families, it becomes much less daunting.
