Hey all, wondering if anyone can help me out
Trying to get an R32 GT-R started, been sitting for a long time, fuel pump and hanger was proper shot so we put a new aftermarket hanger and pump in, key on fuel primes but cranking there's no prime and ecu wont pull injectors to ground. Injector ohms good, CAS fires coils but not injectors, got power at injectors, tried a ballast resistor from another running GT-R. All 12v batt, constant and ignition is good, grounds are good (showing full voltage on a test light haven't tested resistance to ground just yet), all injector resistances good.
I would've thought if the coils are firing then CAS is good and injectors should follow suit but I'm clearly missing something here, CAS Is definitely good because I've tried another one from the other GT-R that runs and turning it slowly can get a reading when backprobing.
The ecu in it is also from the other GT-R as the one that was in it originally wouldn't fire coils at all.
Any ideas at all ? Anyone know if oem nissan ecus lockout injection in the event its detected something wrong ?
Last things to check are CAS signal resistance from plug to ecu, ecu ground resistance, power resistance, and whether there's an immobiliser getting in the way
Thanks in advance!
Hello Liam,
have you already cheked the Injector circuit with an oscilloscope while trying to start the engine? This should get good further information.
Have you tryed to pulse the injectors with 2 wires + and ground directliy from a battery? I had engines were all the Injectors were clogged from sitting a long time.
