Getting ready to wire my tube chassis offroad car.
I am using the Fueltech FT550 with Hardwire PDM25 and an MSEL club level battery cutoff.
I will also need to wire my 12 volt 12lb capacity winch. Of course I can not run the winch through the PDM with the large current draw of the winch. With that said, can I wire all other things as I have learned in the club level wiring class, then wire the winch from the same battery with a seperate Blue Sea Systems E-series manual shut off in the positive cable near the battery, for when not using winch? Will this cause any issues? Is there a better way to do this? Just don't want to ruin any expensive electronics.
See attached picture with the proposed wiring of winch alongside the EFI and chassis harness.
Thank you for your time, the class was great.

Why don't you just attach the winch to the switched output side of the MSEL battery shutoff?
I assume that is where your starter motor will be attached. Think of the starter motor and the winch as needing similar power/current, but only one at a time. If the MSEL battery shutoff is sufficient for the starter, it should be sufficient for the winch.
