I'm looking to install a flat response knock sensor to my Evo 9. Since the factory knock sensor is a resonant style, I believe it only has the one wire going to it. So to install the bosch knock sensor I'll need to use the existing wire, and a sensor ground. I was hoping that I could just T into on of the sensor grounds in the engine bay, say off the MAP sensor? Can I just strip back the ground wire and crimp onto into it in some fashion and then run it to the knock sensor? I'll have to run some shielding on it i suppose as well? Just looking for some advice on the best method to do this.

The knock sensor on the EVO 9 is a two wire style so you should have no trouble just terminating the existing wires to the new plug.
