Hello everyone,

I had a quick question about time delaying PWM devices such as the Cooling Fans, Coolant Pump, and others. My original plan was to supply permanent battery supply to these devices, and have the ground connected at the same time. However, I got to thinking, and it seems like doing this would keep the fan on at all times, perhaps at a very low speed. Is this the case, or does the PWM (Low Side) control everything regarding speed and current draw?

My OEM fan is powered with 12v, connected to chassis ground, and controlled with a low side PWM signal.

Best Regards,

Michael
