TXL wire doesn’t seem to be readily available In the Uk - certainly not at a reasonable cost that I can find. Is silicone wire suitable (operating temperature range -60 - 200 deg C)?

Just wondering whether the silicone sheathing is suitable for the connector crimps?

Many thanks for the excellent course!

Hey Phil,

Check out https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/category/10 I started using them a while back, and everything is great quality and (I think) fair on cost.

Many thanks Stu,

I’m just concerned about temperatures because I have a rear engine installation with tight packaging -it gets very hot in there (too hot for standard PVC wire☹️).

Phil.

You have probably solved this by now, but I tend to use fire sleeves for anything running near turbos, including clutch and accelerate cables. Operating Temperature: -50°C to +500°C

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
