Has anyone here ever had experience with the dual cam 4g64gdi from the chariot. I'm building a mitsubishi l200 turboing and port injection converting this engine not much is really know about it and it seems to a very weird engine even to people that have experience with 4g motors. I can attach a few pictures of the engine in question

I might know a thing or two about this engine. What exactly do you want to know?

Are evo 8 cams a possibility to use in this engine? I also want to do a full valvetrain upgrade for a 8500 rpm limiter so are evo 8 parts a possibility here? I will be running 10 psi with a hx40 and a electronic wastegate and dbw on the stock 11.1 compression and a very safe tune. But testing the head is the real goal here as I can buy these heads for $100 everywhere so I'm questioning whether they are a viable performance upgrade to a standard evo head.

The heads are completely different and aren't interchangeable... Vertical intake system with separate runner to each valve. Fuel injectors straight to combustion chamber...

Yep I'm deleting the direct injection and moving to port injection by modifying my intake manifold to accept dbw and port injection. What I'm after is upgrading in terms of the valvetrain (cams, springs, retainers) I'm trying to extract some more rpm from this engine but I'm also doing testing in stock form to see if it offers any benefits over the stock evo head. So I'm trying to find if any cams exist for this head.

Why don't you use a head from Hyundai? It's also very cheap and goes bolt-on on 4g short blocks. Basically it's direct copy of Evo head.

Accessibility, cost and just an experiment. These heads assembled with intake together cost a total of $100.

1.Getting Access to a hyundai or an actual evo head $900+ for just a head(no cams etc). I have a total of 4 heads that I got just purchasing a chariot body which was $200 because the owner was tired of fixing it.

2. I discovered the same info listed above and was curious how would these head do compared to a standard evo head in making power and accepting boost with the different runner style( basically a test mule for a drag car.)

3. I can go to the junkyard and collect a truck load with $230 all day long

Hi Nigel, can you take a pic of the top of the head/valve gear with the rocker cover and intake off?

These are some pictures of the head in question without the valves
