Hi all,

I have absolutely destroyed my 4G63T in my EVO7 and I am starting the process of a new engine build.

I have decided to build a 4G64 up. I have sourced a 4G64 7 bolt, out of a magna, and have had the block and crank checked out, and these are good to go.

Ultimately I am wanting to build a dedicated grass roots racing circuit car, with a focus on enduro's. After driving a friend 4G64 build (he purchased the car with it) I prefer the extra down low torque and drivability of his 4G64T over my original 4G63T. Not chasing massive power, just after moderate power but a huge focus on reliability, and planning on flex fuel, E85 for sprints and pump 98 for enduros.

So the plan thus far,

BOTTOM END (4G64 Block and Crank)

Pistons - CP SC7262 Pistons with upgraded 9310 pins

Rods - Manley 14020-4 Rods with ARP 2000 bolts

Main Cap Studs – 8740 chrome moly ARP 207-5401

Bearings + Thrust washer – ALL ACL Race

Balance Shaft Delete – GSC Kit

HEAD BITS (EVO 8 Head)

Head Studs – 8740 chrome moly ARP 207-4203

Inlet Valves – Manley 11160-8 34.5mm

Exhaust Valves – Manley 11161-8 31mm.

CAMS – Stock Evo 8 Cam

Valve Springs – was thinking KVS63-BK Kelford

THE REST

Gaskets – Nitto Gasket kit (no Head Gasket)

Head Gasket – Need advice here.

Adjustable cam gears – Brand not decided on yet.

Harmonic Balancer – Fluidampr

Injectors – Denso/Sard 800cc injectors

Coils - COP kit haven’t pick one yet.

Very good idea. I have built a couple of those lately and I love them but I'm running Automatic transmission...
