Im having this issue dispite having minimal tension on anvil. Small marks develope while checking bore dimensions. Looks almost like a graphite pencil mark but doesnt wipe off.
Block is a cast iron 3sge that im rebuilding for my 77 celica coupe.
Should i be concerned or is this common?
No, yes - it's literally at the molecular level, unless you're REALLY putting a lot of force on it.
