Hello. I am looking into the options of different crankshafts for a build. It is a XU10J4RS enginge which is intended to be run on E85 with up to 13:1 compression ratio and around 26m/s pistonspeeds at 9000rpm+. It is 86mmx86mm borr/stroke and should end up right around 260bhp.
The first option is the oem crank which is a fully counterweighed cast crank.
The second option is to use a forged dieselcrank but is only has 4 counterweights. It is lighter and has a 88mm stroke. I will probably run 88mm stroke anyway as the class regulations approve up to 50cc above 2L.
The third option is a forged/or billet fully counterweighed crank. This is of course the best option, but I would like to know if option 1 or 2 also would be a viable option?
