Hi as I'm going to be building an n/a engine (drag use only) i need to work on friction so need to know piston design will it help me to go for thinner ring pack with gives me lower friction and as for honing with will be best option as to the degree of the hone as conrod wil be an i beam i going to shorten stroke to allow for longer conrod

Yes, a thinner ring will reduce frictional losses in the engine. It's not uncommon in dedicated N/A race engines to use a piston with a single compression ring to further reduce losses. The angle of the hone pattern is realistically going to remain the same regardless of the rings you're using.
