Hi
I am rebuilding a VW 1200cc air-cooled engine. I have found vertical scratches on tow of the pistons. On one off the pistons I have tow scratches that I can feel with my finger nail.
Do I need to replace the pistons?
Depends on how hard you push it. And how bad they are.
