Steady State Timing on a turbo car

Could this cause any temp problems?

Are you referring to holding the car in boost on the dyno while tuning the ignition timing? In this case yes it's quite possible to have the IAT and/or ECT rise quickly. You definitely need to be more wary of watching these parameters, particularly with high boost engines.
