Hi guys.
I like to introduce myself.
I have a racing team, we do raving on circuit and rally.
For the circuit we have survenal Porsche Boxster.
2 years ago we have started to tunes these engine , we have are one stand alone ecu running on megasquirt.
We have a problem with the timing table.
We have already 2 engines killed, detonation is the cause.
We notice that the knocksensor aren't picking up the knock signal anymore after the tuning, higher-ups the compression make that is faster knocking.
When we try do make a timing map it is difficult to hear the knocking because the engine is quit noisy.
5 distribution chains makes a lot of noise to hear a good knocking sounds.
So what we want is a good , may be the original timing tabke of this engine to have a base table.
I have got servials original ecu but I don't have the tools to do the winols.
Is her somebody who cab help me with this.

Hello Nick, did you find a solution? I want to do a reflash, too. Small scale compared to yours. 2.5 engine. I got a pipercross mat and a 996 throttle body. I was amazed, that the throttle body is the only part in the piping that is artificially narrowed down. The rest is at least 70 mm. Now it needs a retune. So I know a guy in Germany, that should be not so impossible for you to reach. They know everything about those Boxsters. They get on the Pin directly. They use KTAG.
On another forum, Someone mentioned to put Pin 24 to ground to start the boot mode.
