Hi All,

I've made this project as my introduction into a custom CANbus device that has a practical use. Hopefully you can all have as much fun with it as I have.

This is a really neat project for anyone looking for an Arduino project that involves CANbus.

The code and wiring diagrams can be found on my github.

Arduino CANbus

The Code on the github is for a shiftlight, but essentially you can do anything you'd like really, I've done coolant temp and oil pressure alarms, PRNDL indicator lights and wheel lockup lights too. Having these NeoPixels being influenced by data you've got on the CANbus is quite handy really.

Let me know what you'd use your lights for!

Fun!
