I’m going to be road tuning my 12:1 compression turbo 3uz on 12psi and e85 for my ignition tables would I need to start off with pulled timing instead of starting the map with 15 degrees advance where my compression ratio is higher than most especially when vvti kicks in I’d assume I’d need to pull some timing to compensate with vvti as well to still have the effects of vvti while keeping it below knock threshold???

It is always good idea to start slowly... Just to make sure everything is working properly to begin with and then start increasing the engine load progressively...
