when we are setting idle on a motec m1 ,we should deactivate our closed loop trims for our idle adjustment and activate closed loop operation once idle is adjusted ? just wanted to confirm if i am correct on the method
You can do it either way but if you leave closed loop active the important point is to watch what the ECU is doing to the output and use that data to fill in your feed forward tables. Personally I prefer to put the ECU into open loop mode and tune the feed forward and idle ignition control first, then enable closed loop and tune the closed loop settings.
