when reflash logging on a dyno. will shifting gears cause bad data?

Can you post a log? Is it an auto or a manual? What kind of dyno? What gear were you in?

Really it depends what data you're trying to gather. If you're trying to scale your MAF then I'd try to maintain the same gear. On the other hand it's a good final check of the health of your tune to do some hard pulls on the road or track and go through the gears. This will let you test transient response and make sure that you're not seeing any knock on tip in, or over boost on a turbo car.
