Is this a degreeing issue? Also I may be wrong about how much was removed from the deck surface. I’ll have to call my machine shop in the morning.

Uh, you DO realise it says "Retards Cam Timing 2 Deg" - it does NOT say to retard cam timing by 2 degrees?

This is because the slightly larger diameter alters the belt alignment slightly.

What you need to do is

1/ check the actual TDC corresponds to the crank and block marks - you may wish to make your own.

2/ Set the camshafts' timing to the spec' card using actual lift - don't go by the verniers' markings, they can be off slightly and should just be considered reference marks.

Yes, I misspoke in the video. I adjusted the cam timing to account for that. This is what I was told to do by the manufacturer.
