Is it acceptable to mix a coated top bearing shell and uncoated bottom shell?

They're from the same manufacturer, so same material and dimensions, only difference is the coating.

Only reason I am considering it is the current lack of parts availability and I'm on a timeline to get the build done before an event.

I wouldn't expect there to be a problem, if they're the same size.

I'd use the coated shells in the connecting rod side, and main bearing caps - provided the bearing design is correct for the application - ie. oil drillings, grooves, etc are correct for the placement.
