Hello everyone

Would it be possible to use a wiring harness from a Maxxecu powered LS engine to be used on the Motec M130 platform? given that the correct pin assignment is given in each connector?

in other words i have a Maxxecu wiring harness and would like to use it on my M130, is it just matter of changing the main ECU connectors and assigning the pins correctly?

Yes and no. For accuracy M1xx's have independent supply and ground planes for two groups of sensors, depending on your Maxx harness they'd be ganged up into a single pin. Whether or not that causes a problem depends on a myriad of factors. That said, fundamentally most ECU manufacturers tend to follow the same rules for wiring outside of a few that don't have discrete supply and ground planes - so I guess the answer is: it depends.

So would you reckon that making a new M1 harness would be a sound decision, given that I would most likely have to change the sensor wiring to fit M1 supply and ground pins?

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
