Discussion and questions related to the course Practical Motorsport Wiring - Club Level
In the bundling and branching video in club motorsport wiring, you can see where the instructor has used a short section of thicker gauge wire from the power distribution unit and has a bunch of much longer thinner gauge wire that goes feeds power to each individual unit all crimped inside the PDU branch. To me it seems that a more efficient solution would be to crimp inside the main trunk instead of in the power distribution branch, as this would greatly reduce the size of the power branch and add only minimal thickness to the main truck as well as save a lot of wiring.
Is there a benefit to having multiple longer thinner gauge power wire over having shorter thinner gauge and longer thicker gauge?
Thanks!
