Ground, star point earthing to block:

The video mentions using a 2AWG cable between the block and battery. Is this still true if the battery is located in the trunk/boot?

My project car ('03 Miata built for endurance racing) has minimal electronics. Would it be possible to use 4AWG cable and still maintain a quality/functional ground?

4awg is smaller than the video suggetion of 2awg. 2awg is an acceptable 3% drop whre the 4awg is at the limit @5%. A common battery cable supplier has the 4awg about $.60/ft diff to 2awg cable. Even at a purchase length of 15ft, its $9. Run the larger 2awg cable.
