Building a club sport style harness with DR25 and I have 3 branches that should, based on the math use 3/4". However the first section after recovery seems pretty lose. Like you can slide the sheathing around pretty easily.

The heat shrink should always fit "tightly" on the wiring correct? Seems that 1/2" might be the better choice but maybe I'm being too critical?

One test while you are learning, is to just cut a 1-2" piece of heat shrink tubing, and shrink that on your bundle to see how it fits. You can just cut it off and replace with whatever you decide works best.

I tend to use the smallest size I can get the wires to pass through. Sometimes I have to use the next size up for a long runs -- or feed a single wire through and solder it to the bundle and pull the single wire back through with the bundle attached.

I think some of my confusion was hearing the "largest" size for pulling the wires through, even though the recovered size was correct it still was too big. Thanks for the feedback and suggestion.
