In the search for a cost effective upgrade from thin wall automotive wire I've come across TE M81044 and wondered how this compares to spec44 and spec55 and if its thought to be potentially suitable. It's half the price of spec55 hence why I'm asking.

Thanks

How about TXL.

I sourced mine from Pro Wire USA and was reasonably priced.

As far as I can tell what I’m using at the moment is what you would call TXL in the US. I’m in the UK and importing from the US is not a very cost effective option.

The M81044 appears to have almost the same specs as spec55 and at a more affordable price.

I wanted to check that I hadn’t overlooked some important criteria hence my question.

Misunderstood the question sorry.

^^ That seems to clarify that it is very high spec so shouldn't have any problems in an automotive application.
