At 7:21 in the module Flanges, CAD course. Connor was able to cut the coincedent of the sketch at the origin, and proceed to drag the whole sketch without the sketch losing dimension, without the move tool. What is this drag sketch and how do you use it?

If the profile of the sketch is blue rather than black, and therefore not defined, you can just click and drag those parts of the profile. No trick to it really.

this can also be helpful if you are wondering why a sketch is not fully defined.

You can try to drag it, however it moves will tell you what constraints you might want to add to lock it down.

Thank you. I found the problem, one of the points I selected for dimensioning in the sketch happened to be the origin. Not just the end of the line. Essentially locking the distance to the second line. So dragging with the constraints caused it to shrink, not move the whole sketch. Thank you Connor.
