In making a "spare" CAN harness for future expansion, I plan 22 ga CAN wires and 18 ga power wires. Any suggestions for assembly? I thought twisting the CAN and power separately, then winding the CAN around the power wires. I probably won't put filler wires in, but I'm open to thoughts on this.

I typically twist the CAN and power/ground separately. There's nothing really too tricky to consider. 18 gauge is probably a little larger than you'd need for most devices though.

The picture is better than a bunch of words. Here I'm using 20 ga for power and 22 ga for CAN.
