Trying to figure out where's the best place to put my wide band oxygen sensor its on a gen 3 ls engine 05 Chevy suburban 5.3 i was think about having a bung with a plug on both sides of the engine so I could change sides if needed i know it needs to be close to the narrow band sensors

Don't know which "GEN 3" engine you are talking about. But it sounds like it might be an engine with two banks. Placing a wideband near the collector on each back is a good idea.

What do the instructions supplied with your wideband controller say -- they usually have good advice.

Hey William,

So sorry about the delayed reply! We did have an email mention we were on holiday go out to anyone that emailed support@hpacademy.com, however, I forgot about the forum and a notification for it sorry.

Along with David's answer, this webinar is what you want. It has all the information behind why that is the answer and more: https://www.hpacademy.com/previous-webinars/121-wideband-lambda-sensors-essential-knowledge/

Note if for some specific reason you wanted to only run 1 sensor, it should be in the collector where both banks merge. You can't swap one sensor between two banks to tune your vehicle.

We echo David's advice, which is also what you will find in your instructions, that you instead run one sensor per bank.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
