Hello guys,

I have an issue with my Idle control in MoTeC where it would just exit out idle control without any triggers (no throttle pedal input etc), i have really scratched my head around this issue and am not able to make sense why it is leaving idle (check all idle activation conditions to be true)

i'll attach a couple of videos for this situation when it happens if someone can be kind enough to help me with it

Some condition is changing. Try logging relevant parameters at a higher rate. Display values with enough resolution. Read the help for all the idle parameters in your firmware package.

Try displaying the pedal position with more resolution - say 2 digits (i.e. 0.00). If you have level 2 logging, log it at 100hz to look for glitches. You might want to look at Throttle Pedal Sensor Main (and Tracking) values (Diagnostic, Voltage). If noise is found, consider increasing Throttle Pedal Sensor Main Voltage Filter.

Good Luck!

If you are using DBW, why is the Idle Activate Throttle Pedal threshold 5% -- it should be 0.0% for DBW.

Dear David,

Thanks alot for your input, i had increased the idle activate throttle pedal to 5% as in some previous instances i saw small spikes of the throttle pedal value to 1-3%. So to eliminate any issues from the pedal (which as you rightfully mentioned could be the culprit) i increased it.

However, it still does it so i returned it back to 0%.

Thanks again
