hello everyone.

On this occasion I write to help me with the following:

I am changing the strategy of detecting speed, for resume now I put the gear position sensor that came with the transmission to work (HGT Precision); I already connected the 5V sensor to my AV2 MoTec 800 analog input but I cannot get good readings from the sensor, that is, every time I change gear the voltage does not change.

I attach images of the configuration. I can also attach the map.

what am I doing wrong.

I'm not an expert tuner. I am learning.

Your calibration of the Gear Sensor Volts should just be linear. In the sensor setup, just use the Predefined Calibration (#31 Volts(V), x1 (5.000v = 5.000V)).

Of course the Gear Position Sensor signal must have 5V and 0V connected, and the Signal must connect to the correct AV input.

If you see no voltage, or voltage change -- I would first check the wiring. Especially that the pins are fully seated in the connector at the M800.

Hi David, thanks for answering but I tell you that I already did that, I used that configuration and I don't see the voltage change when I make the gear changes.

It is the first time that I install a gear position sensor and logic tells me that the voltage must vary the moment I make a change; i´m rigth?

Also, i drop menu (View - Raw Input Values) I can see the analog input dialing...

the sensor is same to this:

OK, so the raw AV input is changing, but the channel "Gear Position Voltage" isn't, even though you are using the predefined #31 calibration.

With the sensor out of the gearbox, what is the range of raw voltages that you see? Is is steady, or jumping around?

Hello people, today I put the sensor to work outside the transmission with a drill and this time it worked! and there was also a gear change in the dash, all thanks to you! I'm sure what remains is to finish configuring everything better.

Thank you very much for your help Mr. David.

I am at your service in Panama.
