Any tips on using a timing light on a VQ25DET / VQ35DE as it's done in this video? I haven't been able to find any marks on the outside, and all research so far just takes me to setting the timing chain up. Or is this something I could possibly log from the stock ECU using NDSII, to use as base setting in the EMU Black?

You probably need to make a mark on the pulley. Here is a webinar about using the dead-stop technique to do that: Just use that technique to make a mark on your pulley and a corresponding mark/pointer on your block / front cover.

Brill, thanks David I'll check that out

So turns out there a few marks after all. There's a marker on the water pump cover, and 3 notches on the pulley. The non-whit notch is 0deg, then 2 white ones are 15 and 20.

I coloured in the white ones, and made the 0 mark white
